Koridor UA has been operating in Kherson for two years. Now it is assisting rapid relief groups with evacuations.

The city of Kherson faces daily attacks from Russian artillery, drones and glide bombs. It is a frontline city located near the Black Sea, making it very difficult, if not impossible, to warn residents in time for airstrikes. Civilians have minimal chance to take shelter. Often an attack happens and only then do the sirens sound. Attacks take place several times a day, resulting in daily injuries and deaths of civilians and the destruction of their homes.

Who will we help?

Koridor UA has been operating in the area and the city since Cherson was liberated in November 2022. In response to the deteriorated security situation and the city’s request for cooperation, it has now become part of an external rapid assistance group, alongside the organization “Silni bo vilni ” and the city administration of Kherson, to respond to the needs of people resulting from the Russian shelling.

Within two hours of the attack, the group will send a specialist to the site to assess the situation – how many people are dead, injured, whether evacuation is needed, debris cleanup, etc. If a person loses their home in the bombing, they will need at least basic supplies for the following days. We would like to provide this assistance in the form of backpacks, the contents of which will provide the person carrying them with basic human needs for several days.
