The story behind fundraising
We are Koridor UA and we want to build a well and send help to Mrs. Irena’s dog and cat shelter in Balta, Ukraine. In this shelter, Irena keeps over 120 dogs and cats, which she feeds and sterilizes at her own expense. Unfortunately, she is now retired and her health is not the best. The nearest water source is located very far away. She can get to it on an untidy and uncomfortable path, and considering how much water she has to apply daily for her animal inmates, it is very hard work for her aching joints.
Who do we help?
With this fundraiser we will help Mrs. Irena in Balta, Ukraine to ensure a constant supply of water for her and the animals in the shelter by building a well and also supplying pellets for the animals in the shelter. For Irena, with her relatively small pension, it is very demanding to take care of approximately 120 dogs and cats.
What exactly will the money from this donation be used for?
The money will be used to build a well on Mrs. Irena’s property, for dog and cat pellets at the shelter, and for diesel to transport the materials for the well and pellets to Mrs. Irena’s home in Balto, Ukraine. Building a well will help Irena have constant access to water and the pellets will help her feed her animals for the next few months.
